Vivienne Westwood launches fundraising campaign for Cool Earth

Scarf designed by Vivienne WestwoodInternational designer and environmental campaigner Vivienne Westwood used the runway at her Red Label fashion show 2011 to launch her fundraising project for Cool Earth.

Dame Vivienne Westwood announced to her guests, "I am personally supporting Cool Earth and investing in our future... I'm inviting my friends, celebrities and everyone interested in saving our beautiful world to join me. Think about getting involved." The official launch of the fundraiser, which will also see Cool Earth launch a public campaign, will be in November and aims to raise enough support to save some of the world's most vulnerable forest by 2020.

Europe's Leading Surf and Music Festival Saves 40 Acres of Amazon.

Relentless Boardmasters joined forces with Cool Earth to protect an area of endangered Amazonian rainforest the size of the festival venue!

110711_relentless-boardmasters-_logo.gifBoardmasters, which takes place in Newquay every summer saved 40 acres of rainforest. Event organisers say it's a way of giving back to the environment for the and helps to manage the carbon footprint for the festival's 150,000 visitors.

Cool Earth and Buyagift Facebook AppFacebook fans have been encouraged to  make a difference by saving a tree for free.

The gifting experience company Buyagift donated for every person who used Cool Earth's "Save a Tree" app. So far FB users are saving around 5,000 trees by clicking on the app and sharing it with their friends.  See the map.
