Based in Penzance, Cornwall altcom has been delivering bespoke software and web development services to clients around the globe since 1995.  Despite modern communications technology this involves a lot of air and road travel.

We create database driven website content management systems (CMS) and software for clients all over the world.  We ship our goods digitally but in the end someone still has to get in a plane, train or car and see the client.

We are always looking at how to do things better, and that includes finding ways to reduce our carbon footprint.  Climate change is already evident in Cornwall but as we are only small and the problem is so big,  I was doubtful if we could ever help make a difference.  Collective action through Cool Earth makes that possible.
