A Rare Rainforest Duo

pacho-charlie.jpgThis unusual rainforest pairing caught the eye of Cool Earth.

Pacho, a dog and Charlie, a capybara (large rodent) have become inseparable. They live in the town of Iquitos in the Peruvian rainforest were both rescued when they were young. Now, at three years old, they spend their days together as an unlikely duo.

Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world and are highly social herbivores. They love water and can live as long as the average dog. Living together in ExplorNapo Lodge, these two eat together, swim together and sleep together.
