Gore hits out at climate change sceptics
Former US vice-president and avid climate change campaigner Al Gore has hit out at those who remain sceptical over the existence of global warming.

Writing in the New York Times, Gore said that he "genuinely wishes" that climate change was not real. He warned of "unimaginable calamity" due to global warming and also noted that despite the recent scandals over incorrect reports from climate change experts, the problem is still very real.
"Unfortunately, the reality of the danger we are courting has not been changed by the discovery of at least two mistakes," he said.
"In fact, the crisis is still growing because we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere - as if it were an open sewer," he noted.
He went on to note that scientific estimates of the impact of climate change are not always going to be totally accurate.
However, responding to his piece, reader Simon Noble said that mistakes such as those made by the IPCC do matter - and noted that these incidents are not isolated.
