The Office Coffee Company based in Gloucestershire is now providing small businesses with drinks machines that dispense Cool Earth's rainforest saving coffee, so they can be more environmentally friendly.

Each tub of the Rainforest Alliance certified coffee, saves 5 endangered trees in the Peruvian Amazon with the charity Cool Earth.

Richard Doherty, the Managing Director of The Office Coffee Company in Cheltenham says it's an easy way to do your bit to safeguard the environment, "as a company we were thinking of ways to be more sustainable and decided to donate to save rainforest, however when we saw that the charity Cool Earth produces a coffee that actually helps stop trees from being cut down we decided we could do so much more by encouraging everyone at work to drink this new charity coffee."

Vivienne Westwood holding Cool Earth Coffee JarCool Earth Coffee was launched with the help of the world famous designer and environmental campaigner, Vivienne Westwood. "The great thing about Cool Earth is that its activities are focused on the first problem, deforestation. It's really important we do our bit to help fight climate change, drinking Cool Earth Coffee is going to help us do that, which is really good because we can all do it."

Cool Earth which has conservation programmes around the globe, works with indigenous people in the forest to combat illegal logging. Support is given to the communities to help them safeguard the forest 24/7 as well as forming their own sustainable incomes, including growing coffee.

Matthew Owen from Cool Earth is hopeful that office workers throughout Gloucestershire will be able to save large tracts of at risk Amazon trees, just by choosing to have a cup of Cool Earth coffee to start their day. "The destruction of the world's rainforest emits around the same climate warming CO2 into the atmosphere as the USA's entire annual emissions, that's about 6 billion tonnes each year. So by getting office workers to save trees just by drinking coffee businesses can actually be more sustainable."

The Office Coffee Company is providing instant, fresh ground and beans of Cool Earth Coffee which are available from the website coolearthcoffee.co.uk or by contacting enquiries@office-coffee.co.uk or you can call 0845 052670
