Pledge to protect more rainforest in Brazil
Areas of rainforest in Brazil are due to be protected as part of the country's pledge to limit greenhouse gas emissions by 2020.

The country has published its proposal, along with estimates of how many tonnes of carbon dioxide will be removed from the atmosphere as a result of the plans.
In the Cerrado rainforest in Brazil's central region, 104 million tonnes of carbon dioxide are expected to be removed by efforts to stop deforestation.
Meanwhile, in the Amazon, a similar reduction of deforestation activities is predicted to remove 564 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the air.
Brazil is one of 55 countries to pledge to act on carbon emissions in the coming decade.
Yvo de Boer, executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, says: "Greater ambition is required to meet the scale of the challenge.
"But I see these pledges as clear signals of willingness to move negotiations towards a successful conclusion."
