Rainforests of the World exhibit opens in London

A new Rainforests of the World exhibit has opened at the Sea Life Aquarium in London, complete with some 4,000 marine animals usually found in the planet's tropical forests.

New rainforest exhibition shows diversity of tropical habitats

The new rainforest exhibit is split into 13 different areas, all with varying themes, and is designed to give visitors a real sense of what it could be like to wander around a rainforest.

Waterfalls, misty air and forest foliage all add to this affect.
Some of the highlights of the exhibition include 15 poison arrow frogs, 30 piranha fish and two West African dwarf crocodiles.

Poison arrow frogs are famous for being brightly coloured, which is designed to scare off would-be predators. They are native to central and South America and can be found in the Amazon rainforest.

Figures from Monga Bay suggest the Amazon is home to more than 1,000 different types of frog, including the monkey frog, cane toad and hyla tree frog.
