Writer looks for 'fearsome' creatures on rainforest trip
A travel writer has detailed a recent trip to a rainforest area in Queensland, which included a hunt for a native bird which she described as "fearsome".

In the Independent, Sara Chare wrote that she was "sold immediately" on the idea of visiting some of the globe's oldest rainforest areas in Cape Tribulation in Australia.
The region is home to the cassowary, which she noted is a "huge, prehistoric-looking flightless bird" which is an endangered species.
Despite not being lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the rare bird, Ms Chare said that the area is "really breathtaking".
"This is how I imagine Northern Queensland might have looked before the Europeans arrived," she said.
Cape Tribulation is home to the Daintree Rainforest, which can be explored through a series of elevated boardwalks.
As well as this, the Great Barrier Reef can be reached from the area by a 30-minute boat journey.
