Half an acre of endangered South American rainforest was protected every time a new Co-operative Bank think credit card customer used their card for the first time, and for every purchase made using the card, a contribution of 25p was made to Cool Earth for every £100 spent, 12.9% APR typical/variable.
Cutivireni is one of Cool Earth's largest projects and involves a partnership with the Ashaninka people and Ecotribal. By ensuring the Ashaninka are fairly compensated for protecting a unique and irreplaceable ecosystem, the sponsorship has helped create a sustainable future for some of the world's most threatened rainforest.
