Next to the busy Rio Madeira (or Wood River) lies an arc of deforestation that is destroying some of the world's richest stores of forest carbon. Hand in hand with local partners, Cool Earth is securing forest once held by logging concessions and opening it up to rubber tappers and harvesters of forest produce. By investing in sustainable local production, we are helping to price destruction out of the market.
