Magnetic Performance is one of Cool Earth's leading partners and is already helping to protect endangered tropical forest. Magnetic Performance is working with each of their clients to improve their energy efficiency and is protecting acres on behalf of each of them. The commitment of Magnetic Performance to rainforest protection is already making a huge difference to the lives of local communities and security of the trees in the Awacachi, Ecuador.

I discovered Cool Earth in June 2007.  I became utterly convinced that preventing de-forestation of the South American rainforests was absolutely vital if the world community was serious about tackling Global Warming.  As a result I protected my first acre of rainforest.  Since then I have come to the conclusion that there is no greater action that individuals and companies can make to reduce the effects of Climate Change, than to help secure as much rainforest as possible, by investing in its protection system and in local community development that values forest conservation above forest destruction.

Magnetic Performance is an energy efficiency consultancy.  Over the last five years the cost of oil and gas has risen exponentially.  Whether boilers are used purely to heat offices or as an important component of a manufacturing process they are now costing considerably more to run.  The bottom line is that they are hurting the ‘Bottom Line' in ways that could never have been foreseen.  In addition to this we are living through the harshest economic climate for decades.

Magnetic Performance has developed a proven and inexpensive retro-fitted energy saving system called MPESS.

There are now MPESS installations in most parts of the UK and in a number of countries in Europe.  We have also been pleased to install one of our energy saving installations (MPESS) in a very large factory in the USA owned by a multinational Swiss Company.  When an organisation says "yes" to a MPESS installation Magnetic Performance purchases and donates on behalf of that organisation one acre of rainforest in Awacachi in Ecuador.  This gift enhances the good that the MPESS installation will do for the environment and also encourages the organisation to purchase larger tracts of rainforest.
