EnergySave.org.uk is supporting Cool Earth by protecting endangered tropical forest. Our ESS energy saving system works on boilers at the molecular level and for well over ten years now it has a proven and excellent track record of cutting gas and oil costs. A typical ESS fuel saving is 10% per annum. This in turn creates a reduction of 11.4 tonnes of Co2 per annum for every £10,000 of fuel spend. In addition EnergySave donates 1 acre of mature rainforest in the Awacaichi Valley in Ecuador. This will prevent loggers clearing that acre and will prevent a further lifetime release of 260 tonnes of Co2.
The commitment of EnergySave to rainforest protection is already making a huge difference to the lives of local communities and security of the trees in the Awacachi, Ecuador.
I discovered Cool Earth in June 2007. I became utterly convinced that preventing de-forestation of the South American rainforests was absolutely vital if the world community was serious about tackling Global Warming. As a result I protected my first acre of rainforest. Since then I have come to the conclusion that there is no greater action that individuals and companies can make to reduce the effects of Climate Change, than to help secure as much rainforest as possible, by investing in its protection system and in local community development that values forest conservation above forest destruction.
