demo_26_260Cool Earth's projects in Democracia, Brazil began in June 2007. The area, which is comprised of the three villages Madeira, Matauara and Ataninga, received support from individual and corporate sponsors.  As well as supporting local community projects aimed at improving trade in the area, Cool Earth has also supported the communities plans improve local school facitilities. The building of the extension to the school in Democracia got underway in 2009 and is really beginning to take shape.

We will be adding more pictures here as the work progresses and will of course be featuring the opening of the extension when it is ready, so please do be sure to check back here in the coming weeks.
