Giving through your salary is a simple way to reduce the cost of regular giving to charity. Just a small donation can make a big difference to Cool Earth.

Giving through your salary is also known as Give As You Earn (GAYE) and Payroll Giving.

Here's how it works:

Your donation is made directly from your salary before you are taxed. This means if you authorise a monthly donation of £10 the actual cost of the donation to you is only £8. If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40 per cent and authorise a monthly donation of £10 the actual cost to you is just £6.

Making a donation through Payroll giving is one of the most cost effective ways you can give to Cool Earth.

Who can use Payroll Giving?

You can use payroll giving if you are an employee and you get paid weekly or monthly through PAYE. You can also donate to Cool Earth through your company and/or personal pension if your provider deducts tax through PAYE.
