Freddie and William both visited India for the first time in 2009 and fell in love with the people and the culture. We have since that trip discussed the idea of participating in the rickshaw run, a 2500km trip across the country in an automated rickshaw, a tough and surely amazing adventure (ask me afterwards)! and finally this year we have got our acts together and found two great charities to raise money and awareness for. Along with the Henry Van Straubenzee memorial fund we are raising money for Cool Earth in a bid to help slow the deforestation of our planets rainforests. With William working in furniture and Freddie in forestry we feel that this is a cause close to our hearts and above all is a vital goal that we as a global society should all be striving for. Any donation however small would be helping this amazing organisation in its bid to turn around one of the worlds greatest ongoing tragedies. Thank you. Nameste.
Our journey starts in Cochin in the south of the country from where, by any route and hopefully only one means we make our way northwards towards the finish in the desert city Jaisalmier.
