Freshers' have a green start to the new term

 850 students in Devon and Cornwall had a green beginning to their new term after protecting a tree with Cool Earth. The rainforest charity sponsored a tree for free in the name of any student who showed their support by signing up to become a volunteer.

The Ashaninka tribe live in the Peruvian rainforest which is experiencing devastatingly rapid deforestation, destroying some of the world's richest stores of forest carbon.
