With an Artistic Globetrotter from Yorkshire in the cold north of England and a couple of Curious Kiwis from presumably Hobbiton, what could possibly go wrong.......? In April 2017 an epic adventure begins! For 2 weeks Nikki, Caroline and Leonie will attempt to drive 3000 unguided kilometers down the West Coast of India on a 3 wheeled Rickshaw (aka a glorified lawnmower) made of nothing but hopes and dreams and perhaps a little rust. Fueled by Chai and watched over by the bovine population of India - we will embark on this journey from Jaisalmer to Kochi in order to create better stories to tell at family functions as well as to raise a little money for Charity. We will run a Blog at a later date to document our journey with pics and stories of chaos so please watch this space if you are wanting the Easter time entertainment! In the meantime, check out our chosen charity 'Cool Earth' which is a unique rainforest charity that works alongside indigenous communities to protect the world's most endangered rainforest. Every $ counts so please support us and our cause by donating a little chai money of your own.......
Cool Earth is a unique rainforest charity that works alongside indigenous communities to protect the world's most endangered rainforest. Every donation makes the biggest possible difference with over 90p of every £1 donated going directly to Cool Earths partnership projects.
Our goal is to raise 1500 pounds for this charity by the end of our Rickshaw Run on the 16th April 2017 so please support us and our cause by giving a little bit of love (and in this case, more importantly $) where it counts!
We’re partnering with three strategically located villages to halt the advance of the palm frontier from the east – shielding the pristine rainforest behind.
