It seems like a lifetime ago that, we decided we needed a big challenge for 2017 and stumbled upon the Rickshaw Run which seemed like the perfect mix of adventure and endeavour so naively signed up. Now that it is fast approaching and we do our final preparations the reality of what we are up against is very challenging! It will be a 3,000km epic journey across six Indian states from Kerala to Rajasthan with no back-up or support network. Rickshaws are similar to Tuk tuks in South East Asia and are notoriously uncomfortable and unreliable. Luckily, many people in India are experienced with how to fix a rickshaw so we we may have to draw heavily on our social skills to get us through! The positive news is that we will hopefully raise a good amount of money for a great charity, Cool Earth, who do some amazing work working alongside indigenous villages to preserve the rainforest in Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Oceania. Their latest projects have saved 64,000 acres of black-water forest in Brazil and more than 55,000 acres of the Chocó rainforest. So it would be great if you were able to spare a small donation to help Cool Earth on their up-coming projects. The video below will give you a good idea of the what it's all about.
Oh, you clicked 'Read More'... well the best way to find out more is to read about Cool Earth's project directly, which you can do here: https://www.coolearth.org/projects/
