Bollocks to boring modern yachts with their auto-pilots and comfy cabins. On 27 June 3 complete idiots are planning a 7 day 500km sail along the Tanzanian coastline to Zanzibar with only a log and a bed sheet helping them navigate the Indian Ocean. Those three idiots are us, Brad, Dave and Jacques. Carrying all our own equipment and camping on remote islands along the way, the monsoon winds will push us and our dugout mango tree boat (the ultimate sailing machine) through the archipelagos to the finish line. Sharks, high seas and mozzies be dammed. There was no way we could say no to this mahoosive adventure. In conjunction with the Adventurists we are raising funds for Cool Earth who work alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. Please support our mission by donating to this great cause.
We’re partnering with three strategically located villages to halt the advance of the palm frontier from the east – shielding the pristine rainforest behind.
