This summer we will be driving nearly 20,000 miles - from Ireland to Mongolia and back - to raise money for Alzheimer's Research and Rainforest Conservation. The drive is part of the annual Mongol Rally - a race around 1/3 of the Earth's surface, over deserts, mountains and steppe in a vehicle your granny would drive to the supermarket. There are 3 simple rules: 1) Cars must have an engine of 1.2L or less. 2) You must find your own way there and back home. 3) Each team needs to raise at least £1000 pounds for charity.
We’re partnering with three strategically located villages to halt the advance of the palm frontier from the east – shielding the pristine rainforest behind.
