From time to time adventure calls and when you’re turning forty it seems like a particularly good time to heed the call. Just this year I’ve been maced (twice!), done night land navigation in the wilds of Vermont, lived in Italy a bit, and scaled mountains in Scotland. I am now going to harness my thirst for extreme adventure with my desperate desire to save the Earth. Really! What a better adventure than to ride a small underpowered “motorcycle” across Morocco in April of 2018! That’s right. I’ll be doing the (in)famous Monkey Run across Morocco put on by the Adventurists team. Of course, while it’s all fun and games to have some type two fun (at least I hope it is) it’s not the best thing for the environment. In the spirit of doing a bit to offset this adventure, let’s raise some money for a good cause at the same time. That’s where you and Cool Earth come in. Half of the world’s rainforest has been destroyed in the last 40 years. And it hasn’t slowed down. Except where Cool Earth is partnering with local villages to take charge of their lands and halt rainforest devastation. Let’s directly help local people protect their own rainforest and help the whole world at the same time!
