A few of us are participating in the April installment of the Rickshaw Run. Basically its a 3000km journey up the Western coast of India from Kochi to Jaisalmer in a rickshaw/ tuk tuk during the height of summer. Theres no set route, you have no back-up, and theres no guarantees you'll finish. You can guarantee however that there will be a lot of misdirections, confusion, getting stuck, breaking down, crazy roads, Dehli belly and general chaos.... accompanied by alcohol and beautiful scenery. Soooo.. a lot of fun! The Rickshaw Run also has a partnership with a fantastic non-profit organisation called "Cool Earth". Cool Earth works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and climate change, so its a really great cause that effects each and every one of us. We have been encouraged to fundraise as much possible in the build-up to the trip, with a pre-determined goal of 1000 pounds per Rickshaw. Since we have 3 Rickshaws basic maths tells us we need to raise 3000 pounds... which is a huge amount of money. Any and all funds contributed to this goal will be appreciated!
