We are going to do the coolest race in the world for charity! Rickshaw run India 2019. Ok. This is what is going happen. No set route, no back up and no way if we are going to make it. The only certainty is that we will get lost, get stuck, break down and save a bit of the world. What are we going to do exactly? We are crossing the length of India. From the southern tip via jungles, mountains and the most crazy roads in this country to the desert in the north. 3500 kilometer in a rickshaw, a vehicle originally made for short distances. A rickshaw also known as a tuktuk, is not very fast, it smells, it falls over when you go around corners, it breaks down a lot, and a day driving feels like you have been kicked up the arse by an elephant. (or 2 ?) And this all sounds as the best thing you can do in life. Our own "try before you die". We obviously aren't only doing this for the fun. We start this hell of an adventure to save a bit of our "planet". We want to make people aware of the devastation that climate change is making all over the world. With this adventure we support the charity Cool Earth. Cool Earth is an environmental charity that works with local communities. Their approach is so effective because they put people, not trees first. By partnering with rainforest communities to improve quality of life, this enables them to protect their surrounding forests from threats such as commercial logging and mining industry. They don't create reserves or put up fences. They don’t buy land. Instead, they put local people back in control of their forest. You may wonder if this 3500 kilometer trip is the right way to do it. Especially with a polluting rickshaw. But doing nothing is no option. And if we want attention for our charity we should do something special. But only attention is not enough. We are looking for sponsors. Small or big, all the donations are more than welcome. And from 50 euros we will write your name on our rickshaw. In this way you can be part of our journey. How cool is that? ? We will keep you updated about our trip. Even if you you are not able to sponsor or think: "Fuck the planet" you can still follow our adventure. But for all the others: Sponsor.
