We all need one chance in our lives to do something outrageous, completely brainless and ill-advised. WELCOME TO THE RICKSHAW RUN.
We are Ian and Sarah Lock, a couple of nifty fifties who have decided to get off our #[email protected]$ and raise some money for charity.
In an attempt to persuade you to part with your hard-earned, we will be driving/pushing a 7hp, 145cc, 2 stroke, glorified lawnmower, aka the good old Indian tuk-tuk, the length of India, from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan to Kochi, Kerala.
We have been fully informed of the risks involved which include NO SET ROUTE and NO BACK-UP. Regardless, we will optimistically attempt to persuade a decommissioned 3 wheeled vehicle, barely fit for the purpose of a brief journey across town, to cover around 3,000km in just 13 days. There is an absolute probability of regular (daily??) breakdowns, dubious road surfaces, confusing traffic laws and lots and lots of rain - August is monsoon season!
Please support us in our campaign and we thank you in advance.
