A bonkers adventure to drive a 20 year old Skoda Felicia across central Asia
James and I are attempting to drive our 19 year old Skoda Felicia halfway round the world from London to Mongolia, as part of the 2018 Mongol Rally. We’re setting off on the 13th of July and will travel through at least 20 countries: France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, across the Caspian sea to Turkmenistan. From there it all gets a lot tougher as we explore Uzbekistan, drive the high passes of the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russian and finally through Mongolia – an epic 10,000 mile journey ending up just a few hundred miles into Russia in Ulan Ude.
We are doing this epic journey in aid of Cool Earth, a charity which works to minimise the impacts of climate change by preventing rainforest clearance.
