For eight days in September, Rowy and Sam will ride again: this time in Morocco! From Agadir, we'll trek up through the High Atlas and down along the coast to Essaouira, spending our nights in Berber tents and our days covering ground on beautiful Barb horses. We're going to use this trek to raise as much awareness and funding for Cool Earth as we can, because there's no better way to keep carbon in the ground than by keeping trees in the ground, too.
Cool Earth is an organisation that I have been watching and supporting for many years. Their approach is logical, proven and sustainable. As far as donations go, 90c of every dollar goes directly to their projects - that's one of the highest percentages of any charity. If I can't persuade you, perhaps Sir David Attenborough can: 'Helping Cool Earth to halt tropical deforestation makes a real difference. Perhaps the biggest difference we will make in our whole lives.'
We’re partnering with three strategically located villages to halt the advance of the palm frontier from the east – shielding the pristine rainforest behind.
