We have decided to take on the challenge of running a rather hilly marathon in one of our favourite spots, Dingle in County Kerry. This marathon is known for its spectacular views out across the Atlantic Ocean as we run along the Wild Atlantic Way and for its challenging uphill stretches that pop up every few miles! It is an event we have both had our eyes on for a while and we are very much looking forward to reaching that finish line, and one of the pubs in Dingle town. We have always loved this part of Ireland because of its stunning natural beauty and so we wanted to run this marathon for a charity that successfully fights to save important natural habitats around the globe. Cool Earth works alongside rainforest communities to stop deforestation, therefore saving vital habitats that provide life to the local people and biodiversity and helps all of us in our worldwide battle against climate change. Cool Earth is currently the most cost-effective charity that works on mitigating climate change through direct work and we want to support them. Their mission is to support local communities to keep forests standing and to lock in more carbon in our forests to prevent further damage to our planet. Their amazing work is saving our world for future generations. Any small amount that you can spare will provide vital support to this fantastic charity. Thanks so much! Jess and Steve
