A 10,000 mile road trip from the UK to Mongolia. This July our team will be driving from New Mills here in the UK to Ulan-Ude, a city in East Siberia, as part of the Mongol Rally. Around 10,000 miles, almost 1/3 of the globe, the Mongol Rally is one of the greatest motoring adventures in the world. Along with hundreds of other teams we will be trying to get both ourselves and our car to the finish line in one piece. The rules are simple: 1. Your car must be as unsuitable as possible (1.2 litres max). 2. There is no backup and no support team; any issues you run into you will have to resolve yourself (Including getting stranded in the Mongolian desert). 3. Raise as much money for charity as possible From July 22nd we will be driving our mighty three door Ford Fiesta from New Mills to the start line in the Czech Republic and then onward through mountain ranges, the Mongolian wilderness and the Eurasian Steppe to reach the finish line in Russia. Follow our adventure on Facebook and Instagram. Of course we're doing this for adventure, but we're also doing it to help raise money and awareness for the charities Cool Earth and Mind. We've a minimum goal of £1000, but we'd like to raise far more than that. All donations will go to charity, with the first £500 going to Cool Earth, the second £500 going to Mind and everything after that being split equally between the two. 100% of your donation will go towards Cool Earth to help protect our rainforests. Donations made to this page will go towards the Ashaninka Project; there is a short documentary video and a link to learn more about this project below.
