In the first half of September, Mike Reading, Tom Lynchehaun and Andy Drinkwater will be travelling to northern India to travel between the towns of Shimla and Leh, through the Himalayan valleys in a vehicle that is little more than a glorified lawnmower. We're doing this to raise money for the Cool Earth charity, which is working to tackle deforestation globally. The most recent alarming stats (BBC News, 2nd July) predict that an area of rainforest the size of a football pitch is lost every minute. Both Tom and Andy will be well outside of our comfort zones on this trip, and we would be grateful for any sponsorship that will be put to Cool Earth.
