Nature has always been a muse. For writers, for artists, and most importantly, for game developers.

From the autumnal leaves of Stardew Valley to the vast prairies and snowy mountains of North America in Red Dead Redemption, nature serves not only as a backdrop, but actively shapes the gameplay and storytelling in a way that inspires and connects in this digital age.

This Earth Month, Cool Earth is the official charity partner of Earth Appreciation Festival.

From April 17th to April 24th, we’re joining forces with game developers around the globe that produce games with a nature or eco-dystopian theme.

Earth Appreciation Festival will feature a front page Steam sale, casting light on games that inspire awe through presenting nature at its best, or through games that show us the mess of a world we could find ourselves in if we don’t take action now.

Protecting nature doesn’t need to be difficult: think of this as a manual save for the world’s most critical biomes. Here’s how.

Contact our team to register your interest in the event. Just a short email introducing yourself, your creator profile, and your willingness to take part is all we need.

Ahead of the event, be sure to download your Creator Toolkit, which tells you everything you need to know about the event. It also includes all the assets needed to kit out your stream.

The team will get in touch with more information about the event, including key dates and any exclusive game keys from our studio partners.
