It Just Takes 1% of Climate Funding
We’re calling on the UK Government to pledge just 1% of its international climate funding into direct cash payments to rainforest communities.
That’s £115 million, straight into the hands of the best protectors of tropical forest.
With this small shift, we could keep 33 million tonnes of carbon locked in the ground. That’s equivalent to London’s annual carbon footprint. This method is cheap, it’s proven, and it works.
Whilst Indigenous peoples already safeguard 54% of the world’s remaining intact rainforest, they receive less than 1% of global climate finance.
We’re here to change that.
Direct Rainforest Funding
One of the most cost-effective ways to fight climate change isn’t new technology, a carbon credit scheme or a billion-pound infrastructure bet.
It’s cash. Direct, unconditional cash in the hands of Indigenous communities who are already protecting rainforests.
We’ve been using this approach for over 17 years in Peru, Papua New Guinea, and the Congo Basin. No strings. No middlemen. Just flexible funding that supports livelihoods, autonomy, and long-term forest protection.
With your help, we’ve protected over 2 million acres of rainforest, 380 million trees and stored 500 million tonnes of carbon. Now, imagine how much more rainforest could be protected with the support of the UK government.

Why This Matters for You
UK taxpayers deserve climate solutions that deliver real value for money. This approach ensures your taxes go further and create measurable impact.
Though rainforests may be thousands of miles away, their protection directly affects weather patterns, food security, and climate stability here at home. By backing this campaign, you’re not just protecting trees – you’re securing a liveable future for all of us.
