Do you have what it takes to join the ranks amongst Cool Earths fundraising champions?
The Bee Team
The Bee Team took their Rickshaw run preparations pretty seriously. From a 100km trail event along the Jurassic Coast in their home county of Dorset to entering and running 6 marathons in 9 weeks, whilst road tripping around Europe, the Bee Team was ready to conquer the race to Jaisalmer with their Queen Bee. True fundraising champs, they were undeterred by the occasional breakdowns, accidents, sickness (stories of Delhi Belly shared rather too frequently...); the Bee Team loved their experience in India and the people who made it special along the way.
Team Marlix
Team Marlix have gone rogue, choosing the most northern of the northern routes, choosing to go through Scandinavia. Luckily it’s worked well for them and their trusty mount, Gregorij the Golf. They’re rattling their way to the finish line having already raised over £12,000. True fundraising heroes, we salute you.
The Royal Flush
Team Royal Flush set out with a big ambition, to raise two thousand pounds for Cool Earth. Some thought it foolish, some un-achievable, but these two have proved the doubters wrong and absolutely smashed their target. They’ve now raised over £4,000, and they’ve not even gone on their Adventure yet! These veterans of the music industry have learnt many persuasion skills over the years, and have put them to good use, alongside a little blackmail to keep the donations rolling in. Keep a close eye on The Royal Flush they may well yet be amongst Cool Earth’s all-time fundraising heroes.
Mustacho Muschachos
These three moustached heroes are doing such a sterling job of raising cash for Cool Earth that they're our fundraisers of the month for the second month running! This is turning into the charts now, will somebody be able to knock them off the top spot next month?
Team Bald Bros
Christian and Tobias have been picking up the old dog and bone to call their friends and family, pestering them to donate and save the world. They've done exceptionally well, raising well over their target before their Adventure has even begun. Good work guys.
Three Kiwis One Rickshaw
Hamish, Jeremy and Jamie from Three Kiwis One Rickshaw may not have won the race by any stretch of the imagination but they have won a place in Cool Earth fundraising history. Together they raised over £3,000, can you beat them?
Les Escargots
George and Richard smashed their fundraising target of £2,000 and ended up raising £4,153 for Cool Earth, protecting 16,000 trees in the Peruvian Amazon, nice one!
Bhuna to be wild
Their run had some challenging moments but the good most definitely outweighed the bad. They plan to sign up to the Himalaya Run so they can get behind Cool Earth again. Now that's what we like to hear.
Team Pulponautas
These boys from Spain crushed the competition, raising over £2,400 during the Mongol Rally. They traveled through 17 countries in their Mitsubishi Space Star, all in the name of charity. What legends.
Whizzers of Oz
This brave due completed the Mongol Rally on bikes. Their bone shattering reward? It has got to be the warm fuzzy feeling gained from the knowledge that they are protecting at-risk rainforest in Peru. Organising a trivia night and sacrificing their birthday and asking for donations really paid off.
